What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from TAK Broadband, LLC (“TAK”) informing you that your sensitive personal information or protected health information was compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. TAK recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal information and protected health information.

What Happened?

On August 11, 2025, TAK Broadband, LLC became aware of suspicious activity in its network environment impacting certain systems. Upon detection, TAK confirmed containment of its network and launched an investigation with the assistance of outside cybersecurity professionals to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed certain TAK systems between August 2, 2025, and August 12, 2025, and acquired certain files. TAK conducted a diligent and comprehensive review of the files involved to determine whether they contained personal information and to identify the individuals to whom the information was related. This review was completed on January 14, 2026. On February 19, 2026, TAK filed a notice with the Attorney General of Maine and New Hampshire and issued a press release about the breach. Impacted individuals should soon receive written or emailed notice.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

• Name;
• Social Security number;
• Driver’s license or state identification number;
• Passport number;
• Biometric data;
• Date of birth;
• Payment card information;
• Financial account information
• Medication information; and
• Health insurance information.
