What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from Sentinel Security Life Insurance Company, Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company, or any of their current or former affiliates, informing you that your sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. These companies recently disclosed that they were the victims of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal and protected health information.

What Happened?

On April 15, 2025, Sentinel Security Life Insurance Company and Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company (collectively “the Companies”) discovered suspicious activity on their network systems. Upon detection, the Companies immediately launched an investigation with assistance from third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation revealed that between April 7, 2025, and April 15, 2025, an unauthorized actor accessed certain systems and may have acquired files stored on those systems. The Companies initiated a detailed review of the impacted data to identify individuals whose information may have been affected. On December 30, 2025, notice was sent to impacted individuals and posted on the Companies’ websites.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

• Names;
• Social Security number;
• Date of birth;
• Medical information;
• Health insurance information;
• Individual taxpayer identification number; and
• Financial account information.
