What Happened?

On or about February 23, 2025, Saint Pete MRI became aware of suspicious activity on its network. Saint Pete MRI immediately took steps to secure its internal systems and engaged independent forensic experts to investigate the incident and what information may have been affected. Saint Pete MRI hired additional outside assistance to review the files the investigation determined were potentially affected. The investigation and review, according to Saint Pete MRI’s public notice, determined that certain “scanned data,” which contained personal information, was acquired without authorization. This process completed on April 7, 2026, nearly 14 months after Saint Pete MRI detected the unauthorized access.

Saint Pete MRI next worked to verify and prepare individual notice for individuals whose information was contained in the compromised files. On July 22, 2026, Saint Pete MRI sent notice letters to affected individuals and posted a public notice accessible via its website. Saint Pete MRI also reported the breach to the Massachusetts OCABR and the Attorneys General of Vermont and New Hampshire.

What Information Was Impacted?

According to Saint Pete MRI’s public notice and filings, the following categories of information may have been compromised:

• Name;
• Date of birth;
• Social Security number;
• Driver’s license or state ID number;
• Medical information including medical records, diagnosis; and
• Health insurance information.
