On March 23, 2026, RCI Internet Services, Inc. discovered a disruption within its network. Upon detection, RCI promptly took steps to investigate and respond with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity firms. On April 7, 2026, the investigation concluded that personal information of numerous independent contractors of RCI was accessed without authorization, from March 19 to March 23, 2026. RCI first disclosed the incident via a Form 8-K filed with the SEC on April 13, 2026.

On June 1, 2026, the Texas Attorney General’s website published an entry for the RCI data breach, indicating that 15,553 Texans were among those affected. Per this report, RCI has begun the process of sending individuals notification of the breach via U.S. Mail.
