What Is This About?

According to dark web monitoring sources, PANTHERx Specialty, LLC dba PANTHERx Rare (“PANTHERx”), a pharmacy specializing in medications used to treat rare medical conditions, may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group known as Storm. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients of PANTHERx.

What Happened?

On or around September 15, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Storm had claimed a breach of PANTHERx’s systems in a post made to Storm’s dark web leak site. Storm posted images that appear to show documents taken from PANTHERx as alleged proof of the breach and claims to be in possession of 32.3 gigabytes (32.3 GB) of data across over 100k files.

As of publication, PANTHERx has not confirmed the alleged breach’s authenticity. Details of the alleged breach, such the full scope of potentially affected information and the number of potentially affected individuals, remain under investigation.

What Information Was Impacted?

While PANTHERx has not confirmed the alleged breach nor its associated details, based on the nature of ransom attacks on healthcare companies, the following categories of information may have been compromised:

• Names;
• Contact information;
• Information related to medical treatment, condition, or diagnosis;
• Sensitive personal identifiers such as Social Security number;
• Health insurance information; and
• Other sensitive personal and protected health information.
