On or about February 18, 2026, Lifespark, a senior care organization in Minnesota, discovered suspicious activity within its email environment. Upon discovery, Lifespark took action to address and investigate the event, including engaging the services of external computer forensic specialists. The investigation determined that certain information on Lifespark’s systems was subject to unauthorized access for an unspecified period of time. Lifespark then began a review of the potentially impacted data to determine the type(s) of information contained within the data and to whom that information related.

On July 24, 2026, Lifespark posted a public notice of the breach to its website. Lifespark has likely begun to send notice letters to affected individuals.

According to Lifespark’s public notice, the following categories of personal information and protected health information may have been compromised:

  • Name;
  • Date of birth;
  • Social Security number;
  • Driver’s license/state ID;
  • Passport number;
  • Financial account information;
  • Medical information (including info about treatment, diagnosis, disability, or prescriptions);
  • Provider information;
  • Medical record number; and
  • Health insurance information.
