What Is This About?

According to dark web monitoring sources, Lansing Urgent Care of Michigan may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group Inc Ransom. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients of Lansing Urgent Care.

What Happened?

On or around August 17, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Inc Ransom had claimed a breach of Lansing Urgent Care’s systems in a post made to the group’s dark web leak site. Inc Ransom has posted images of what appear to be documents from Lansing Urgent Care as purported proof of the alleged cyberattack and breach.  

As of publication, Lansing Urgent Care has not confirmed the alleged breach’s authenticity. Details of the alleged breach, such as the full scope of potentially affected information, remain under investigation.

What Information Was Impacted?

While Lansing Urgent Care has not confirmed the alleged breach nor its associated details, based on the nature of information maintained by healthcare practices and cyberattacks against them, the following categories of information may have been compromised:

• Names;
• Contact information;
• Demographic information;
• Information about medical treatment, diagnosis, and/or condition;
• Health insurance information; and
• Other sensitive personal information and protected health information.
