On February 18, 2025, Lansing Community College identified unauthorized access within its computer network. An investigation later determined that an outside party had gained access on or about February 12, 2025, after compromising login credentials. LCC secured its systems and worked with third-party cybersecurity specialists to investigate the scope of the incident.
After reviewing the affected systems, LCC determined that personal information belonging to certain individuals was present in the compromised environment. Once the review was completed, notice letters were sent to impacted individuals.
