What Is This About?

According to dark web monitoring sources, Interim Healthcare Inc. (“Interim HealthCare” or “Interim”), one of the largest home care, hospice, and health care staffing companies in the US, was recently claimed as a data breach victim by two different threat groups, Gensis and Anubis. Our firm is investigating this incident(s) and would like to speak with current and former patients of Interim HealthCare, as well as people who obtained work via Interim’s medical staffing services.

What Happened?

On or around August 10, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Genesis had claimed a breach of Interim HealthCare’s systems in a post made to the group’s dark web leak site. On or around August 15, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the threat group known as Anubis had also claimed a breach of Interim’s systems on its dark web site. Genesis claims to have breached the security of the Interim branch in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Anubis referenced the alleged Genesis attack in its own dark web post and claims to have breached Interim’s headquarters’ systems, thus alleging a breach that potentially affects patient and staff information nationwide.

As of publication, Interim HealthCare has not confirmed the authenticity of either of the alleged data breaches. Details such as the full scope of potentially affected information remain under investigation.

What Information Was Impacted?

While Interim HealthCare has not confirmed the alleged breach nor its associated details, based on the nature of information maintained by healthcare practices and of ransomware attacks, the following categories of information may have been compromised:

• Names;
• Contact information;
• Demographic information;
• Information about medical treatment, condition, or diagnosis;
• Health insurance information; and
• Other sensitive personal and protected health information.
