According to dark web monitoring sources, Healthcare Highways, Inc. (“HCH”) of Texas, a company that builds networks for and administers employee health plans, may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group Chaos. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with persons who are members of a health plan managed by Healthcare Highways.
On or around August 4, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Chaos had claimed a breach of Healthcare Highways’ systems in a post made to the Chaos group’s dark web leak site. Chaos claims to be in possession of 235 GB of files from HCH, including files containing sensitive personal information and protected health information related to health insurance claims. Chaos has threatened to publish the stolen information allegedly in its possession if HCH does not respond to ransom demands.
As of publication, Healthcare Highways has not confirmed the alleged breach’s authenticity. Details of the alleged breach, such as the full scope of potentially affected information, remain under investigation.
