According to dark web monitoring sources, Consolidated Medical Practices of Memphis, PLLC (“CMPM”) may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group Genesis. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients of CMPM and/or its affiliated medical practices.
On or around August 10, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Genesis had claimed a breach of CMPM’s systems in a post made to the group’s dark web leak site. Genesis claims to have taken personally identifiable information and medical information from CMOM and claims to have issued ransom demands against them.
As of publication, CMPM has not confirmed the alleged breach’s authenticity. Details of the alleged breach, such as the full scope of potentially affected information, remain under investigation.
While CMOM has not confirmed the alleged breach or its associated details, based on the nature of information maintained by healthcare practices and the claims made by Genesis, the following categories of information may have been compromised:
