According to dark web monitoring sources, Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians, Inc., a medical group with more than 80 locations across Ohio (“Central Ohio Primary Care”), may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group Chaos. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients of Central Ohio Primary Care.
On or around August 25, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Chaos had claimed a breach of Central Ohio Primary Care’s systems in a post made to the threat group’s dark web leak site. Chaos claims to be in possession of 362 gigabytes (GB) of data from Central Ohio Primary Care and claims to have contacted and issued ransom demands against Central Ohio Primary Care.
As of publication, Central Ohio Primary Care has not confirmed the alleged breach’s authenticity. Details of the alleged breach, such as the full scope of potentially affected information and how many people might be affected, remain under investigation.
