What Is This About?

According to dark web monitoring sources, Casper Orthopedics Associates, P.C. (which does business as “Casper Orthopedics”) of Wyoming may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group Anubis. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients and employees.

What Happened?

On or around July 12, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Anubis had claimed a breach of Casper Orthopedics’ systems in a post made to the group’s dark web leak site. Anubis claims to have obtained personal and health information related to Casper Orthopedics’ patients as well as company internal and employee information. Anubis posted images purporting to prove its attack on Casper Orthopedics that appear to show documents related to medical treatment and health insurance.

As of publication, Casper Orthopedics has not confirmed the alleged breach. Details of the alleged breach, such as the full scope of potentially affected information, remain under investigation.

What Information Was Impacted?

While Casper Orthopedics has not confirmed the alleged breach or its associated details, according to the Anubis threat group’s claims, the following categories of information may have been impacted:
