According to dark web monitoring sources, Cameron Regional Medical Center, Inc. (“CRMC”) of Missouri may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group Anubis. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients and employees of Cameron Regional Medical Center.

What Happened?

On or around August 4, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Anubis had claimed a breach of Cameron Regional Medical Center’s systems in a post made to the group’s dark web leak site. Anubis claims to be in possession of 519 GB of files from CRMC, including personal information and sensitive documents concerning patients and employees.

As of publication, Cameron Regional Medical Center has not confirmed the alleged breach’s authenticity. Details of the alleged breach, such as the full scope of potentially affected information, remain under investigation.

What Information Was Impacted?

While Cameron Regional Medical Center has not confirmed the alleged breach or its associated details, based on the nature of information maintained by healthcare practices and the claims of the Anubis group, the following categories of information may have been compromised:

• Names;
• Contact information;
• Driver’s license or other government ID;
• Information about medical treatment, diagnosis, and/or condition;
• Health insurance information; and
• Sensitive personal identifiers such as Social Security number.
