According to dark web monitoring sources, Associated Financial Consultants & Investor Services (“Associated Financial Consultants”) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida may have experienced a data breach claimed by the ransomware group Akira. What Happened?

On June 10, 2026, dark web monitoring sites including Ransomware.live reported that the ransomware group Akira posted an entry to its dark web extortion site identifying Associated Financial Consultants & Investor Services as the victim of an alleged cyberattack. The group claimed it had accessed and obtained approximately 77 gigabytes of data from the company’s systems.

According to Akira, the stolen data includes employee, client, and partner information, along with internal corporate documents. Akira further claims to have obtained passports, driver’s licenses, and Social Security numbers.
