According to dark web monitoring sources, the California medical practice Advanced Psychiatry Associates was recently claimed as the victim of a data breach by the ransomware group Everest. On May 28, 2026, the ransomware group known as Everest added to its dark web-hosted leak website an entry for Advanced Psychiatry Associates, a psychiatric medical practice with 30+ offices across California. Dark web monitoring sources reported discovering the alleged breach on the same day. Everest posted images of what appears to be patient medical and health insurance information as proof of its alleged cyberattack, along with a countdown of about seven days, suggesting the threat group has made a ransom demand.
