What Is This About?

According to dark web monitoring sources, Proliance Surgeons, Inc., P.S. (“Proliance”), a private medical provider with numerous offices in Washington state, may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group known as Payouts King. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients of Proliance.

What Happened?

On or around September 2, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the cybercriminal threat group known as Payouts King had claimed a breach of Proliance Surgeons’ systems in a post made to the group’s dark web leak site. On its dark web site, Payouts King claims to have taken 6.6 terabytes (6.6 TB) from Proliance, allegedly including customer (i.e. patient) and employee personally identifiable information. Payouts King is threatening to publish the leak on or around September 9, 2026, if Proliance does not agree to its demands.

As of publication, Proliance has not confirmed the alleged breach’s authenticity. Details of the alleged breach, such the full scope of potentially affected information and the number of potentially affected individuals, remain under investigation.

What Information Was Impacted?

While Proliance Surgeons has not confirmed the alleged breach nor its associated details, based on claims by the PayoutsKing threat group and the nature of ransom attacks on healthcare practices, the following categories of information may have been compromised, belonging to patients and employees of Proliance:

• Names;
• Contact information;
• Health insurance information;
• Information about medical treatment, condition, or diagnosis; and
• Other sensitive personal information and protected health information.
