(which operates under four brand names Heights Finance, Covington Credit, Quick Credit, and Southern Finance, collectively, “Heights Finance”), your sensitive personal information or protected health information may have been compromised in a recent data breach. What Happened?

On May 7, 2026, Heights Finance, a South Carolina-based financial services company whose brands include Heights Finance, Covington Credit, Quick Credit, and Southern Finance, discovered an unauthorized actor gained access to a cloud-based platform hosted by a third-party. Heights Finance promptly took steps to secure its network and then launched an investigation into the nature and scope of the suspicious activity. Heights Finance completed its investigation and undertook a review of the files to determine what information is affected and the persons to whom the information belongs.

On August 11, 2026, Heights Finance reported the data breach to the Attorney General of Vermont and posted a Notice of Data Breach on its website. On August 14, 2026, to the Attorney General of Texas. 21 Vermont residents and 734,828 Texas residents were reported to be affected by the breach.

What Information Was Impacted?

According to Heights Finance’s public disclosures, the following categories of information may have been compromised:

• Name;
• Address;
• Phone number;
• Email Address;
• Date of Birth;
• Social Security number;
• Financial account information;
• Driver’s license or other government ID; and
• Other personal or protected health information.
