What Is This About?

Mirage Endoscopy Center. According to dark web monitoring sources, Mirage Endoscopy Center (“Mirage”) of California may have experienced a data breach allegedly carried out by the threat group Genesis. Our firm is investigating this incident and would like to speak with current and former patients and employees of Mirage and its affiliated physician practices.

What Happened?

On July 5, 2026, dark web monitoring websites including Ransomware.live detected that the threat actor group known as Gensis had claimed a breach of Mirage computer systems in a post made to the group’s dark web extortion site. Genesis claims to have obtained personal and health information related to Mirage’s patients as well as company internal and employee information.

As of publication, Mirage has not confirmed the alleged breach. Details of the alleged breach, such as the full scope of potentially affected information, remain under investigation.

What Information Was Impacted?

While Mirage Endoscopy Center has not confirmed the alleged breach or its associated details, according to the Genesis threat group’s claims, the following categories of information may have been impacted:
