On June 12, 2026, the Oregon Department of Justice website for reporting data breaches listed an entry for AssetMark, Inc. describing a May 15, 2026 data breach that affected 570,000 people. AssetMark, Inc. began notifying affected individuals on June 11, 2026. Prior to this, on May 8, 2026, AssetMark Trust Company was listed on the data breach reporting webpage for the Attorney General of Texas as the victim of a data breach that affected names and Social Security numbers. AssetMark Trust Company indicated that 359 Texans were affected.

AssetMark, Inc. and AssetMark Trust Company are affiliated through their parent company, AssetMark Financial Holdings, Inc. (collectively, “AssetMark”). Details about the relationship between these two reported breaches (if they are indeed separate) remain under investigation. The full scope of the incident, including the precise timeline of events, the method of intrusion, and the types of information involved, remains under investigation.
