On April 9, 2026, Lumexa was informed by a third-party vendor with which it had contracted for non-clinical support that the vendor was investigating suspicious activity within its network. The vendor detected suspicious activity within a portion of its network connected to Lumexa-affiliated radiology practices and imaging centers. Lumexa immediately disconnected its systems from the vendor’s network.
On April 15, 2026, Lumexa determined that an unauthorized person may have viewed or obtained copies of documents containing patient information stored within the vendor’s system. Documents were accessed or taken between March 31, 2026 and April 9, 2026.
On May 15, 2026, Lumexa Imaging filed a notice regarding the incident with the California Attorney General’s Office and began sending data breach notification letters to affected individuals.
