What Is This About?

If you received a letter or email from Laurel Eye Clinic or Laurel Laser & Surgery Center, or LaBrasca Plastic Surgery (collectively referred to as "LEC") about a data breach, your personal information may have been exposed. Our firm is investigating this incident and can help you understand your rights and potential legal options.

What Happened?

On January 26, 2025, LEC identified signs of unauthorized access within its computer systems. The clinic immediately disconnected all access to the network and engaged a specialized third-party cybersecurity firm to assist with securing the environment and conducting a comprehensive forensic investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident.

On March 6, 2025, the investigation found evidence indicating that certain LEC files were obtained by an unauthorized user. Based on these findings, LEC initiated a comprehensive review of the impacted data, including a data mining exercise, to determine what types of information and which individuals may have been affected. The review was completed on October 30, 2025. After completing the review, LEC took additional time to verify identities and obtain contact information to notify impacted individuals. On April 15, 2026, LEC finalized the list of individuals to notify.

As of this writing, LEC has not received any reports of related identity theft since the date of the incident. Individual notice is being sent via U.S. Mail.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:

                      • Financial Account Information (account numbers, routing numbers) ;
                      • Driver's License Number;
                      • Patient Identification Numbers;
                      • Clinical Information;
                      • Provider Name; and
                      • Provider Location.
