What Happened?

Hallisey & D’Agostino, LLP, an accounting firm based in Wethersfield, Connecticut, experienced a data breach affecting 16,683 individuals across the United States, including residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.

On October 21, 2025, the firm detected unusual activity within its computer network. An investigation later determined that an unknown actor gained unauthorized access to the company’s systems between September 28, 2025, and October 22, 2025, a period of approximately 24 days. During that time, certain files were potentially accessed or acquired by the unauthorized actor.

H&D confirmed the possible involvement of personal information on March 19, 2026, and reported the incident to state authorities in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire on April 17, 2026. On the same day, H&D mailed notification of the incident to affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:
