What Happened?

Restaurant Management Company of Wichita, Inc., one of the largest Pizza Hut franchise operators in the United States, reported a data security incident affecting approximately 120,426 individuals nationwide, including 26 Maine residents and 20 New Hampshire residents.

According to RMC’s notice, suspicious activity was detected on a portion of its computer network on October 13, 2025. An investigation later determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to a portion of RMC’s network between October 4, 2025 and October 13, 2025.

After identifying the files that may have been involved, RMC engaged a data review firm to analyze the affected information. The company received the results of that review on February 12, 2026. From that point forward, RMC worked to determine which individuals were impacted and to gather their contact information.

On April 20, 2026, RMC filed a notice with the Attorneys General of Maine and New Hampshire and began sending notification letters to affected individuals.
