What Happened?

On March 10, 2026, the ransomware group known as Payouts King claimed on the dark web that it had obtained approximately 435 gigabytes of internal data belonging to Eyemart Express.

On April 17, 2026, Eyemart Express reported the incident in a filing with the Texas Attorney General. The report indicates that sensitive personal and protected health information may have been involved. The total number of individuals affected has not been publicly disclosed.

According to the breach report filed with the Texas Attorney General, the types of information involved include sensitive personal information and medical information. As of April 17, 2026, Eyemart Express has not yet begun to issue individual notice to affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

                      • Home addresses;
                      • Social Security numbers;
                      • Driver’s license numbers and other government-issued identification numbers (such as passport or state ID numbers);
