What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from DermCare Management and/or Dermcare Topco LLC (“DermCare”) informing you that your sensitive personal or protected health information was potentially compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. DermCare recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that may have exposed individuals’ sensitive personal and protected health information.

What Happened?

DermCare Management discovered suspicious activity within its computer network on February 26, 2025. In response, the company acted to secure its systems and engaged cybersecurity professionals to investigate the incident. The investigation revealed that between February 14 and February 26, 2025, certain files were accessed or taken without authorization.

Following this discovery, DermCare conducted a detailed review of the affected data to determine the scope of the breach and identify impacted individuals. Due to the complexity of the data involved, it was not until March 2, 2026 that DermCare’s specialists identified individuals whose information may have been compromised.

The incident was reported to the Attorneys General of Texas on April 10 and California on April 8, 2026. As of these dates, DermCare has begun to send individual notice to affected persons, including 9,724 Texas residents via U.S. mail.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

                      • Financial account information;
                      • Credit and debit card information;
                      • Government-issued ID information (e.g. passport or state ID card);
                      • Medical information;
                      • Driver’s license numbers.
