Monmouth students received an email on March 13, 2026 from the university president confirming that unauthorized access to files on Monmouth’s network had taken place.
In a statement to Comparitech on March 26, 2026, Monmouth indicated that it is in the process of reviewing the affected files, and further notifications to affected individuals are expected as the investigation progresses.
