If you recently received a letter or an email from Cetera Financial Group (“Cetera”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was possibly compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. Cetera recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that may have exposed individuals’ sensitive personal information.
Cetera Financial Group became aware of suspicious activity involving a single employee email account. Upon detection, Cetera launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized person gained access to the email account between July 7, 2025, and August 21, 2025.
Cetera conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On or around January 30, 2026, Cetera determined that certain sensitive information may have involved. On March 25, 2026, Cetera filed a notice with the New Hampshire Attorney General and began sending notice letters to impacted individuals.
