On or about March 2, 2026, Heritage Bank detected unauthorized activity within its network. Upon discovery, the bank promptly took steps to contain the incident by securing and isolating affected systems. Heritage Bank also engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to conduct a thorough investigation into the nature and scope of the activity. The investigation determined that, on March 1, 2026, an unauthorized party accessed an internal file share server used by Heritage employees and copied certain files. This server was used in the bank’s day-to-day operations and contained data relating to employees and customers.
On March 20, 2026, Heritage Bank publicly disclosed the incident to the SEC in a Form 8-K and published a public notice on its website.
