What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from AAA Driver Training School, Inc. (the “DTS”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. AAA Driver Training School, Inc., an affiliate of AAA Northeast, recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

In late December 2025, AAA Driver Training School, Inc. was informed by its driving school software vendor that the vendor had discovered unauthorized third-party access to their systems containing certain student personal information. The identity of this software vendor is unknown at the time of publication. The vendor took action to terminate unauthorized access and remediate the affected system. In January 2026, the vendor followed up with DTS to identify the student data on the affected system at the time of the incident. It is possible that other businesses or AAA clubs were impacted by the same vendor data breach, a matter which remains under investigation at the time of publication. On March 5, 2026, DTS filed a notice with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation disclosing the data breach and began the process of sending notice letters to affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:
