On November 16, 2025, Managed Care Advisors/Sedgwick Government Solutions’ Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) server was compromised by an unauthorized third party. The incident was discovered on December 4, 2025, when files on the corporate SFTP server were found to be unexpectedly encrypted. Upon detection, MCA/SGS immediately initiated its incident response protocols, quarantined the affected server, disabled all connections, and engaged third-party cybersecurity experts, including Mandiant, to conduct a forensic investigation. The investigation determined that the unauthorized third party accessed and encrypted files stored on the SFTP server, and on January 2, 2026, a ransomware group identifying itself as “TridentLocker” claimed responsibility and released approximately 3.4 GB of data on a leak site. By January 15, 2026, MCA/SGS identified affected individuals, including residents of New Hampshire. The breach includes member information associated with the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program Nationwide Provider Network, which is managed by MCA/SGS.
