What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from Alpine Ear, Nose, & Throat, P.C. (“Alpine ENT”) informing you that your sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. Alpine ENT recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal and protected health information.

On November 19, 2024, Alpine Ear, Nose, & Throat, P.C. (“Alpine ENT ”) became aware of a security incident on its internal systems. Upon detection, Alpine ENT launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. On January 17, 2025, Alpine ENT posted substitute notice on its website. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to personal and protected health information stored on Alpine ENT’s systems. Alpine ENT conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On October 9, 2025, Alpine ENT completed its data mining process, and on January 26, 2026, finalized the list of affected individuals. On January 30, 2026, Alpine ENT filed a notice with the Office of the Maine Attorney General and began sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

          • Demographic Information;
          • Date of Birth;
          • Medical Information;
          • Health Insurance Information;
          • Financial Account Information;
          • Credit Card CVC, Expiration Date, and Number; and
          • Social Security Number.
