What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from Daniel H. Cook Associates (“DHCA”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. DHCA recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

On October 17, 2025, Daniel H. Cook Associates, Inc. became aware of a security incident on its internal network. Upon detection, DHCA launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to its systems and obtained sensitive data from its network. DHCA conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On January 12, 2026, DHCA identified persons whose sensitive data was included in the impacted data. On January 17, 2026, DHCA filed a notice with the Attorney General of Maine and began sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:
