What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (“Allianz Life”) informing you that your sensitive personal information was compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. Allianz Life recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal information.

What Happened?

On July 16, 2025, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America detected unauthorized access to a third-party, cloud-based CRM system used by Allianz Life through social engineering. The breach compromised the personal information of most of its 1.4 million customers, along with some financial professionals and employees. An investigation with cybersecurity experts followed, and a breach notice was filed with the Maine Attorney General on July 25. Allianz Life will begin mailing notice letters on August 1, 2025, to impacted individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:

• Names; and
• Other personal identifiers.
